Home Mortgage Tips On Getting Bad Credit Mortgage Loans

Filed under: Structures — Admin @ 3:18 pm

By Marie Mardeko

You might think you won’t get a fresh mortgage or a refinance mortgage if you have bad credit however actually there are means with which you can get a mortgage your bad credit notwithstanding. Certainly, it can be a bit difficult to get a fresh mortgage or refinance mortgage, if you have bad credit.

At first, consider whether you actually have bad credit as several people don’t have credit that’s as bad as they believe. If you have a credit score that is below 620 yes you do have a bad credit problem, if it’s more than 620 you most likely won’t have problem in getting mortgage depending upon the lender you choose, in particular with the state of the current economy and with credit score of 650 and above you would be able to get best mortgage rates. However, if you faced bankruptcy in earlier mortgage repayments, you might still have difficulty getting a normal mortgage and might need to look at bad credit mortgage.

If you have bad credit problem, you’ll need to find specialist lenders that provide mortgage to people with bad credit. The advent of Internet has in fact made this a simple task. You can compare deals offered by several lenders by submitting your details on several online mortgage broking websites that will help find you the best rates derived from the details you submit and collected from several lenders eager for your business. Likelihood is, if you have paid your bills and credit card dues on time bad credit apart, you’ll be eligible for a bad credit mortgage. Although seeking lenders online will help you get the best mortgage deal and with better terms because of fierce competition to get your deal to heat up competition you can also approach local lenders and consult them as well.

Take care you verify terms carefully when you consider different lenders, since the information these lenders put up can be ambiguous. Just consider the lender proposes you to sign up for a variable rate mortgage with very attractive interest rates when compared to 15 or 30 year fixed rate mortgages. Now the problem with variable rate mortgages is that they can vary upward, at times considerably, after a set period or with the market trends. Variable rate mortgages were the main culprit behind people losing their homes in the past. Therefore choose a 15 or 30 year fixed mortgage except if you are considering selling your home after sometime.

Confirm you can afford the home you want to buy. Buying out a home is certainly more expensive than renting out one equivalent, as there are additional costs that add up. Just consider although your rent for the current apartment and your monthly mortgage payment is approximately the same there are additional costs that you will have to bear like annual property taxes, homeowners insurance, and monthly utility costs that might be currently included in your rent. Therefore, calculate the exact costs of your mortgage as there will certainly be a substantial rise over present rental payments to find out if you can afford a mortgage payment now.

IRS goes after eBay sellers

Filed under: Uncategorized — Admin @ 3:42 pm

Monday, March 28, 2005

San Jose, California — As the April 15 deadline for U.S. private citizens to file their 2004 income tax returns draws near, the government is reminding sellers on eBay that they may have to report any proceeds from sales on the auction site as taxable income.

This could be a surprise to some of the 135 million registered eBay users who consider trading on San Jose-based auction site to be a non-taxable hobby. Complicating matters, eBay says it doesn’t report individual sales figures to the government – users are responsible to report any profits on their own tax returns.

The amount of money traveling through eBay is big business. $33.8 billion worth of merchandise was sold on the site in 2004, up from $5.2 billion in 2000.

Although eBay pays taxes on its share of the sales (5.25 percent cut from each transaction as of Feb. 18), the IRS fears some small businesses are using the site to dodge tax responsibility. Adding to the confusion, some sellers may legally be a taxable business without realizing it.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has a nine-point checklist it uses to determine whether or not a money-making activity is legally a business, which means money made is taxable, or a simple hobby – where it is not taxable. The IRS can consider a person to be a legal “business” even though they never incorporated or claimed to be one.

According to Woodbury, New York-based accountant Bart Fooden in an Associated Press interview, the IRS looks for such things as evidence that the auction seller depends on the eBay sales income to pay for activities other than maintaining the hobby, acts in a businesslike manner when selling on auctions or puts enough time and effort into the eBay activities that there is an obvious intent to make a profit.

But Fooden said in the same interview casual users probably have nothing to worry about. Those cleaning out closets or the garage and selling off junk for less than the original price paid are not turning a profit, so that money is not considered income and is not taxable.

Eight men and several Spinka charities charged with tax fraud in Los Angeles

Filed under: Uncategorized — Admin @ 3:25 pm

Monday, December 24, 2007

Eight men and five Brookyln-based Spinka charitable organizations have been charged with tax fraud and money laundering. Six have been arrested, and two are still at large.

The men charged are Naftali Tzi Weisz, 59, a Grand Rabbi from Brooklyn; Gabbai Moseh E. Zigelman, 60, also from Brooklyn and Weisz’ assistant; Yaacov Zeivald, 43, of Valley Village; Yosef Nachum Naiman, 55, of Los Angeles; Alan Jay Friedman, 43, of Los Angeles; Joseph Roth, 66, an international accounts manager at a bank in Israel from Tel Aviv; diamond merchant Moshe Arie Lazar, 60; and Jacob Ivan Kantor, 71, an attorney from Tel Aviv. The first six were arrested last Wednesday, and four of them have been released on bail. The FBI believes Lazar to be in Israel. Kantor is also believed to be in Israel according to other reports.

The charitable organizations named as defendants in the charges are Yeshiva Imrei Yosef, Yeshivath Spinka, Central Rabbinical Seminary, Machne Sva Rotzohn, and Mesivta Imrei Yosef Spinka. The FBI alleges that these charities issued fraudulent receipts for bogus charitable contributions and were the beneficiaries of fees charged for transfers of funds as part of a money laundering conspiracy.

By a 37-count grand jury indictment that was unsealed on Wednesday morning, Weisz and Zigelman are charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service and other crimes, 19 counts of mail fraud, one money laundering conspiracy count, 11 counts of international money laundering, and one count of operating an illegal money remitting business. Zigelman is in addition charged with two counts of aiding in the preparation of fraudulent income tax returns. Zeivald, Lazar, Naiman, and Friedman are charged in the main conspiracy count and with operating an illegal money remitting business. Zeivald is in addition charged with one count of mail fraud. Roth is charged in both conspiracy counts; several mail fraud counts; and several international money laundering counts. Kantor is charged in both of the conspiracy counts and several international money laundering counts.

The charges laid are that over a period of 10 years the conspirators solicited USD8.7 million in contributions to these charitable organizations, promising to secretly refund to the donors up to 95%, allowing the donors to claim the full amounts of the donations as tax deductions on their federal income tax returns. According to the FBI, this was done in two ways: Some donors received cash payments through an underground money transfer network involving Zeivald, Naiman, Friedman, and Lazar, some of whom operated businesses in and around the Los Angeles jewelry district. Other donors were reimbursed via loans made from the United States branch of an Israeli bank, organized by Roth and Kantor and secured on funds secretly held in that bank in Israel, to which the donations had been sent via wire transfer.

Several of the Brooklyn charitable organizations are schools. One such is Yeshiva Imrei Yosef, a private Orthodox Jewish school for boys in grades PK–12 with 312 students, which is one of 5000 such organizations approved for charitable donations by the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco. The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles draws a parallel between these charges and the creation of bogus schools in the case of New Square, quoting Jonathan Sarna, a professor of American Jewish history at Brandeis University, as saying “I think that in Eastern Europe, especially where corruption was rampant, it was very common for Jews to engage in, shall we say, ‘extra-legal activities’ when they believed they were doing so not for their personal gain but for the good of the community or for some higher purpose.”

His observation is that defrauding a corrupt government is part of the culture that has sometimes been carried in to the United States, and that people justify it when they believe that the money is going towards Jewish education. “I think the idea is that Jewish education is so important and so expensive and the folks say to themselves, ‘we’re forced to pay for public education which we don’t use’, and they manage to sometimes justify in their own minds these kinds of activities that are for the sake of a holy end.”

Sarna states that violating the law is not condoned by Jewish communities in the U.S., a sentiment that has been echoed in reactions from the Los Angeles Jewish community, such as that by Rabbi Meyer H. May, president of the Rabbinical Council of California: “One thing is clear: The Orthodox community deplores any attempt to defraud the government of the United States, and there is no excuse for it, and there’s no rationalizations that are acceptable. […] It’s against the Torah and it’s against our moral foundation. At the same time, regarding these specific individuals, they should be allowed to have a fair trial, as everyone is innocent until proven guilty.”

The FBI’s press release contains a similar reminder of the presumption of innocence.

Calls by the New York Times were unable to obtain any comments on the case from the defendants.

Filed under: Personal Injury Lawyer — Admin @ 3:09 pm

After you’ve fallen or gotten injured at your job, an experienced attorney will tell you it’s important to make sure your employer knows within at least the first three months of the incident. If you wait any longer, you may lose your chance at getting workers compensation. This is just one of the many things a good lawyer can do for you. Discover how a lawyer can help you navigate your way during this scary time and answer questions or concerns you may have. One of the first concerns for most people dealing with a job injury is whether or not they will be paid during the time they’re out of work. Your lawyer will let you know you’re entitled to workers compensation for the days you’ve been out.In addition, some employers will encourage you to use a case manager and you’re not sure if you should do so. A skilled attorney will let you know that these people work with your employer’s insurance company. They will tell the insurance company any and everything you say to them or your doctor and they may not be completely on your side. The best bet is to hire your own attorney so you can feel confident this person is fighting for your best interest.Getting to and from doctor’s appointments, paying for gas, paying for medication and more can be expensive, especially if you’re not working full time. Your workers compensation lawyer will let you know that your employer should pay the bill when it comes to prescription meds as well as mileage to and from your doctors. In addition, if you need any type of assistance such as wheelchairs, scooters, hearing aids or more, your employer is responsible for this too.Furthermore, after being hurt at work, you may wonder if you’re entitled to your job once you’re able to work again. If your employer says you cannot get your job back, your lawyer will inform you otherwise. Bottom line, if your job is available, your employer must extend the offer to you again. Or, if there’s someone doing your job, your employer should come up with a position that you can do comfortably with your injuries.Bottom line, you have many rights after you’ve been hurt on your job. Yet, if you are unaware of these rights and don’t hire a lawyer, you could be in for a rude awakening. Your employer is looking out for his or her best interest. That’s why it’s necessary to hire a skilled workers compensation lawyer to represent you and help you get the proper answers to your questions.

46 illegal Afghan immigrants suffocate in truck in Pakistan

Filed under: Uncategorized — Admin @ 3:19 pm

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Correction — Nov 1, 2013 The article below claims each passenger paid 4000 to 8000 USD. Each paid 30,000 Rupees, equivilent at the time to about US$375.

The bodies of 46 Afghan illegal immigrants who suffocated to death in a container truck Saturday near Quetta, Pakistan, returned home Tuesday.

The Edhi Foundation placed the victim’s bodies into coffins to transport them back to Chaman. Funeral prayers were said before victims left Quetta hospital. “We are taking these dead bodies to Spin Boldak and later these will be flown to Kabul by helicopter. We are thankful to Pakistan government for every help,” said Afghan consul general Daud Mohsini.

Afghan officials received the bodies from The Edhi ambulances and Pakistan police escorts at the Pak-Afghan border Bab-e-Dosti (Friendship Gate). Security was high and traffic was backed up at the border crossing. The bodies were taken to Kandahar then to Kabul before they were laid to rest in their home towns.

Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan dispatched aircraft to Pakistan to bring home the 46 victims. Poor weather grounded the planes, and the bodies were driven back across the border.

Pakistan police found a locked truck packed with approximately 111 Afghan illegal immigrants around 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Quetta on Saturday. The driver had fled the scene where 62 people were initially pronounced dead. Police said that from the strong smell emanating from the truck, the victims may have died days before they were discovered.

45 other people were found unconscious and taken directly to the hospital. At hospital two more migrants died. “The death toll is 46,” said Ghulam Dastagir, a police official.

Wazir Khan Nasir, a senior police official said, “We have been able to talk to some of the people, who were trapped in the container. They were all Afghans in the container and the container was going to Iran, When the condition of people inside the container deteriorated, the driver fled, leaving the container.”

Survivors have reported that a human smuggling racket locked 64 Kabul residents and 37 Spin Boldak residents in the truck container Friday afternoon. The truck’s air conditioning unit stopped working causing the locked passengers to cry out for help which was unheeded by the truck’s driver, and they fell unconscious. However, the loud ruckus caused by the trapped people inside did alert police and local residents to their plight.

The trip had cost each illegal immigrant US$4,000 to 8,000 for the trip. Gul Zameen, a survivor said, “We are all poor and wanted to find jobs in Quetta and Iran.”

The survivors have been charged under the Foreigners Act and some have been detained. Karzai has ordered an investigation and “demanded people avoid dangerous illegal migration and not be deceived by smugglers.” “We’ll go to Pakistan and talk to the survivors to find out what had exactly happened. The culprits will be brought to justice,” said Moheeddin Baluch head of the investigating delegation.

Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is also investigating. Five suspects believed to be involved in running the human smuggling racket have been arrested.

Antiaging Health – Vitamin A For Anti Aging Skin Care

by

BrainVitamin A is required for night vision, bone and tooth development, maintaining skin tissue, reproduction, mucous membranes, and for iron metabolism. There are two sources of Vitamins A. The active form are obtained from animal products and are immediately available to the human body and the precursors types that must be converted to active forms to be utilized by the body. They are acquired from fruits and vegetables that have yellow, orange and dark green pigments, known as beta-carotene.

Vitamin A is also involved in maintaining the certain cells used by immune system to ward off infections and include b-cells, t-cells, macrophages, and natural killer cells. Vitamins A affect the production of the human growth hormone.

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and is stored primarily in the liver and to some extent the fat cells in the body. When needed the liver releases the Vitamin A into the blood stream to be carried to the cells and organs of the human body.

Unlike water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins can reach toxic levels in the human body. The condition knows as hypervitamoinosis can occur if more than 10,000 IU per day of Active (animal) Vitamin A, or the synthetic version of Vitamin A is taken. This condition can be fatal. Do not take more than the recommended dosage of Vitamin A. Vitamin A derived from fruits and vegetables does not appear to develop toxic levels in the human body.

It is unknown why, but animals adapted to the polar environment contain high enough amounts of Vitamin A in their livers to be toxic to humans. As little of 30 grams of polar bear liver eaten in one meal can be enough to kill a human being.

Vitamin A in the form of Retinoid and Retinol are used in the cosmetic industry to improve the skin replacement rate. The effects of acne and the scars from acne can be markedly reduced by this higher skin cell replacement rate. The anti aging chemicals also found in vitamin A are absorbed through the skin and can increase the collagen level giving the skin a more youthful appearance.

Regular application of retinol can make the skin soft and smooth. The pores will be cleaned and less visible and wrinkles will be less pronounced thus the signs of aging would be reduced. Retinol has been found to improve skin texture, tone and color.

Vitamins A had been suspected to be a contributor to osteoporosis and with the increase in birth defects when taken in excess. The FDA recommends that pregnant women consume no more than 5,000 IU of Vitamin A per day.

Good sources of natural Vitamin A is found in sweet potatoes, carrots, collard greens, kale, pumpkin, spinach, sweet peppers, winter squash, apricots, cantaloupe, mango, liver, eggs and broccoli.

If you just feel that you need vitamins, supplements or herbs to fight the aging process then find a good health care professional prior to starting any type of home treatment.

Police report drug haul seizure worth up to £30 million in Brownhills, England

Filed under: Uncategorized — Admin @ 3:19 pm

Monday, December 2, 2013

Police in the West Midlands in England today said nearly 200 kilograms worth of drugs with value possibly as great as £30 million (about US$49 million or €36 million) has been seized from a unit in the town of Brownhills. In what an officer described as “one of the largest [seizures] in the force’s 39 year history”, West Midlands Police reported recovering six big cellophane-wrapped cardboard boxes containing cannabis, cocaine, and MDMA (“ecstasy”) in a police raid operation on the Maybrook Industrial Estate in the town on Wednesday.

The impact this seizure will have on drug dealing in the region and the UK as a whole cannot be underestimated

The seized boxes, which had been loaded onto five freight pallets, contained 120 one-kilogram bags of cannabis, 50 one-kilogram bags of MDMA, and five one-kilogram bricks of cocaine. In a press release, West Midlands Police described what happened after officers found the drugs as they were being unloaded in the operation. “When officers opened the boxes they discovered a deep layer of protective foam chips beneath which the drugs were carefully layered”, the force said. “All the drugs were wrapped in thick plastic bags taped closed with the cannabis vacuum packed to prevent its distinctive pungent aroma from drawing unwanted attention.” Police moved the drugs via forklift truck to a flatbed lorry to remove them.

Detective Sergeant Carl Russell of West Midlands Police’s Force CID said the seizure was the largest he had ever made in the 24 years he has been in West Midlands Police and one of the biggest seizures the force has made since its formation in 1974. “The impact this seizure will have on drug dealing in the region and the UK as a whole cannot be underestimated”, he said. “The drugs had almost certainly been packed to order ready for shipping within Britain but possibly even further afield. Our operation will have a national effect and we are working closely with a range of law enforcement agencies to identify those involved in this crime at whatever level.”

Expert testing on the drugs is ongoing. Estimates described as “conservative” suggest the value of the drugs amounts to £10 million (about US$16.4 million or €12 million), although they could be worth as much as £30 million, subject to purity tests, police said.

Police arrested three men at the unit on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug. The men, a 50-year-old from Brownhills, a 51-year-old from the Norton area of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, and one aged 53 from Brownhills, have been released on bail as police investigations to “hunt those responsible” continue. West Midlands Police told Wikinews no person has yet been charged in connection with the seizure. Supplying a controlled drug is an imprisonable offence in England, although length of jail sentences vary according to the class and quantity of drugs and the significance of offenders’ roles in committing the crime.
